Every board-sports enthusiast will know whether they’re regular… or goofy. If you’re in the latter category (like me!) then you might be wondering what percentage of snowboarders are goofy?Â
Approximately 30% of snowboarders are goofy, meaning that they ride with their right foot in front. 70% of snowboarders are therefore regular riders. These percentages carry over to other board-sports like skateboarding, surfing and wakeboarding [source].Â
Of course, as you progress you will start to ride in both directions. You’ll therefore alternate which foot is riding forwards. However, the stance in which you feel most comfortable will remain your permanent favored stance.Â
