I got back from Les Arcs at the weekend – it was a great trip. Sunny, slushy conditions. Straight lining the soft moguls on the home-run, taking laps of the park, cruising around the mountain in a shirt – finishing the day off with a cold beer. Yeah, it was a great trip.
I’ve got a lot of positive things to say about Les Arcs (first visit there); the park was great, the terrain looked good, ride-in ride-out made a fresh change, good features around the piste… it’s a strong list.
With the conditions we had – warm, sunny days – I didn’t get a true taste of what’s on offer. But I saw enough. Enough to want to go back.
I’ve got a few things that I’d like to post following the two shred-trips I’ve had this season, one of which is an edit of my riding.
Others include some thoughts on riding park, getting over “the fear” of hitting jumps as well as a few reviews (Smokin MIP, K2 WWW and the Burton Cobrashark bindings).
I only took a few photos in Les Arcs – here are a few:

Nice pics, Gavin. You look very chilled in the pictures…no doubt having an awesome time!
It looks that you were in Arc1800 staying in Les Alpages de Chantel.
Did you get round to ride from the very top – the Aiguille Rouge? One of my goals was to do just that going down the red and hopefully bit of the black to end up at Villaroger. It never happened because of the heavy snow, the top lifts were closed. Instead, I got to try powder runs in between the trees on the steeper slopes above Les Alpages du Chantel (top left of your 3rd picture).

Hey dewei, thanks, and yes you’re spot on with where we were staying, good detective skills 😉
While we were there it was so sunny, slushy and slow, I didn’t bother going up to the top. There was always a huge queue for a start! Would you go back to Les Arcs? I had a great time and defo like the resort – would go back 🙂
